Yonatan Golani, Israel

An architect, one of the planners of the Israeli expanse, a designer of the Israeli institutional planning mechanism and the essence of Israeli planning.  For dozens of years, he has been tirelessly active in leading roles such as Head of the Israeli Planning Authority and Chief Architect of the Ministry of Construction and Housing.  He is one of the founders of the Israel Planners' Association and held several other public and professional positions such as Chairman of the Professional Committee of the Israel Architects' Associations.  When he retired he became the Deputy Mayor of the City of Modi'in – a new city established in 1993 at his urging in his capacity as the Chief Architect of the Ministry of Construction and Housing. 

Dr. Arnold Aberman, Canada

Arnold Aberman

Arnold Aberman was born in Montreal, Quebec. He received his B.Sc. (1965) and M.D. (1967) degrees from McGill University where he won many academic awards and prizes. He was a resident in Internal Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He then completed pulmonary disease subspecialty training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Cardiovascular Research Institute of the University of California, San Francisco, and served as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Vice Provost of the University of Toronto.  Dr. Aberman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Pulmonary Disease. He is an intensivist (intensive care specialist) by practice.He is a longstanding friend and supporter of the University of Haifa and the Canadian Friends of the University.
